I'm sure it has been asked before, but I searched and didn't find it.

Ever since snow leapord, my computer has been eating ram for a snack. I have only iCal, iChat and firefox open and my computer is slooow. Where can I get ram for low cost? I thought 4 gigs would be about $60-70 but everywhere I look it is $80-90. I'm a poor college student.

$68.99, no shipping fee.

Also, a reboot and restarting Firefox will clear up a large amount of RAM.

That's DDR3... if he uses an older MacBook, then I don't think they support DDR3... Although I could be wrong.

I do know the newer MacBook Pro and MacBooks use DDR3.

Without knowing which Macbook you have there's no way to suggest cheap memory.

Running applejack and onyx on your machine is free. Try that first.

His sig says "CE Aluminum Macbook." CE being "Collector's Edition" lol....just to clear that up, not to stir up another flame war.

I had no clue which kind of RAM the collector's edition used. I didn't even know there was one.

Yep. I'm pretty sure it's DDR3. Its the 2.0 uMB, in case you couldn't tell. The last reboot was 4 days ago. It worked fine before I installed snow leopard.
Thanks for your help.
