Good news! Thought this was funny though:

The Unity engine has been using Mono for quite a long time now. Apple wasn't going to allow it with the usual JIT compilation that the desktop version uses, so they had to rewrite it to use AOT (ahead of time) compilation instead.

Interesting. I'd been wondering how it was that Apple didn't object to Unity.
