Can one of you experts explain the iphone memory and see if this is right?

I have an iphone 3GS 16gb:
Songs 136 256 Kbps
Photos 53
Apps 1

13.0 GB available and 14.3 GB capacity

My friend has a 3G 16gb:
Songs 426 128 Kbps
Photos 557
Apps 106

11.4 gb available and 14.6 gb capacity

He has WAY more on his and not using as much memory. Does the bitrate of the songse make that much of a difference?

Yes. Seems ok to me.

For every second... Your songs use 256kb... His use 128. His songs are half the file size of yours.
 
Seems fine. He has way more photos and apps then you. You have almost 2 gigs more free than him. 🙂 And plus it's not like you are running out of space anyways. 😛
