Help: FTP in Snow leopard

I want to transfer large audio files which are stored on an external hard drive via FTP. I enabled file sharing and I created several user accounts with passwords. What are the next steps to allowing said users to accessing only my iTunes collection, not any other files? I think I'm close but I am stuck.
