Saving Iphone texts to computer, and then back

Hi,

My I phone will be replaced by O2 shortly, but I need to figure a way out to copy/save my texts from my current I phone onto my new one.

Presumably the easiest way is to copy them onto a computer, and then back again?

Is there anyway to do this? I don't mind if the texts stay on the computer!

On some phones, I'm sure there is the option to copy texts to the SIM card- is this not possible on the IPhone?

So there is no way of saving the texts I have on my IPhone on to my computer?
