Transferring info from iPhone to the computer

So, I installed Snow Leopard and nothing on my computer worked correctly. I then copied all my information, formatted and reinstalled Leopard.

I thought I would be able to sync my contacts from my MobileMe account or from my iPhone but it's not happening.

Is it possible to transfer this information from my phone? Or why won't MobileMe sync? I must not lose my contacts.

If I have committed some obvious blunder in this process please refrain from calling me out on it. I've already been through plenty as I'm sure you all can imagine.

You can use Funambol (free) to sync to a server and then sync them over to a PC, so there's probably other programs to do it for a Mac.

Edit:You can use Mobical (Mobical.net) for a Mac. You just have to use a syncML client (there is one free on app store).
