I submitted my app months ago just when Battery apps started making their way into the App Store and climbing the charts. Of course, Apple killed it for me, leaving MyBattery to be approved just yesterday, along with yet another surge of battery apps. BUT, this app does have a few key differentiators, so hopefully you will read on and check out my FREE app.

MyBattery - Accurate Battery Indicator - is the most accurate battery app for iPhone and iPod Touch. While other battery apps estimate remaining battery percentage to 5%, MyBattery is the FIRST and ONLY app to display battery life to 1% by retrieving hardware information from your device.

This app is FREE and features a mac-style icon and simplistic interface.

We still have hope in becoming the most popular battery app on the App Store. While there was once no legitimate way to retrieve diagnostic information about battery life, we are now able to do so to 1% accuracy. Hope you like the app!

Funny, there has been no API changes to the battery reporting...so either, the to 1% is BS, or you are using a private framework which isn't allowed.

why do i need that app when my phone shows me the percentage of battery life remaining?

Maybe if you're curious as to exactly how much talk time/wifi/3g use for each charge. I'm going to give it a shot now. Looks like something I'd like to check every so often.

You can see the battery percentage if you have a 3GS. However, you will not have access to the remaining time for key activities. Please read the app description is you're interested in use cases. Thanks!

Just downloaded this app. My iPhone is showing 68% left and this app is showing me 70%.

I have iBattery Pro that since their last update, always shows what my iPhone % says.

My phone says 100% and the battery meter says 99%.

As to the other stuff...can you explain to me how this works?

I just pulled my phone off the charger and it says:
Talk time: 11:52
3G Internet: 04:57
Wifi: 08:54
Video: 09:54
Audio: 29:42

Is this total elapsed time? I guess I was assuming it meant since the last full charge but this obviously is not the case.

Paid vs Free (Free one more accurate even)

It's how much time you have remaining for each at the current battery level.

On mine - both indicators match

But the usage left below the indicator isn't going to be accurate no matter how you slice it because there are factors which may or may not be included (or are they)

Like - screen brightness, # of bars in signal, bluetooth on/off, what kinds of pages you're surfing, etc...

I wasn't gonna post them but after this many hours, iBattery is still dead on accurate while yours is still 2% off. I would ask for my money back but I can't!

So how good is your guarantee?

Hehe. Those screenshots speak for themselves too! :p

They do! I wouldn't bother making a big deal out of it but the OP states his app is the first and only battery app to display to 1% and well, it's not. Ibattery came out with an update last week that promised it was more accurate than the previous version and well, it is!

Awesome app, been using it or a couple hours now and it's 100% acurate, thanks

The % remaining that has to be accurate is the one the iphone displays in the right corner.

I am not convinced that it is so I think apple should just fix the battery issues and the OS.

I cant see how any program can be more accurate if its calling APIs. All I can see is that a separate program might interpret the data differently...

Gary,

Any chance of an update with an updated icon which has at least a border to be consistent with every other app?
Badge notification showing battery remaining would be nice
Custom screen depending on whether it is an iPod or iPhone (hiding)
Gaming, (3D & 2D) showed in 'Time Remaining'
And finally, better accuracy

After all, I paid $1.19 (AUSTRALIAN) for the app, and while its understandable you are working on Ping!, it would be nice to show the love to the rest of your apps
