Looks like it's not covered here yet, so here it is for your entertainment.

This is the HOME page of Zune HD, not on some minor page.

It's one of the most asked question of Zune HD.

Q: Is that e chopped off?
A: Yes it is. No it does not scroll.
Verdict: FAIL.

Oh wow the Zune can't top the iPod...next...

But yes, someone's in trouble.

I read somewhere that was intentional. It was supposed to give the Zune some hip or 'edgy' look. Dunno, from the video's I've seen (pre-release demo's) it's consistent through the UI.

Now that I'm thinking about it, how do all other "e"'s look on the Zune HD. Maybe Microsoft made their "e" look like that on purpose.

Do we really need one of these threads every week since the Zune HD was announced?

I mean, there are ways in which that would be "edgy" but it looks like it was just straight cut.

Peace

Did you actually look at the other "e"s on the picture ?

The words "video", "pictures" and "internet" all have an "e" and they are not cut off so there is your answer.

Sorry, I mean "on the edge" "e"'s.

Microsoft also tried to explain why each Windows user needs to press "start" to "shut down"

MS finally fixed that after about 10 years, with vista. ;)

Sorry, just thought people who actually pay attention to their work would get a kick out of this.

And they do. Every few days since this was pointed out MONTHS AGO.

Is that really any worse than dragging a CD or mounted drive to the trash to eject it? Neither is very intuitive but once you are used to them they work fine.

Isn't that because you're starting a task to shutdown the pc?

Even if the E wasn't chopped off, that looks absolutely hideous.

Geesh, some of you amaze me to no end.

Anyway, I hate scrolling text. I rather have the 'e' cut off then the whole word scroll.

Greg

I always hit the eject button next to the device in finder window.

Otherwise Command+E

I envy you. =p

The trash icon turns into an eject icon, so it is more intuitive than you stated. :)

There is nothing wrong with dragging items to the trash to eject them, it does make sense.
And it's not the only way to do it, there are several ways.

Cool. I hadn't noticed. The original fat Mac that I first used (at work) didn't have that.

That there are other ways is not the point, there are other ways of shutting down Windows than going via the Start button. Trash means destroy, not eject. It takes a special kind of kinky to think that destroy is any sort of obvious metaphor for eject.

Or how about using a smaller font so it actually fits on...
