I bought the impact case because I thought the Defender was too bulky, now it seems that the Commuter series came out. Ideas or thoughts?

I got my hands on one a while back and liked it. It is a quality case. Fit is good and very protective but it was to bulky for me. I keep my iPhone in my pocket and its just to bulky. My wife used it for a while on her 3G in her purse but wanted soemthing more colorful :)

ive got the defender and love it.... but wouldn't mind something to change it up but still protect when i'm not in harsh environment..

is this case a "silicone" with a "harder" plastic shell over the silicone?
trying to figure out how you get it on and off.....(i've got used to just keeping my phone in the defender because of the install process, but still love it)
