Do you think it was wise for Apple to get rid of the 16 GB iPod Touch? For some people the 8GB is too little. For more people the 32 GB is too much. I think Apple should have but the 16 at $249.

Of course the 8GB is too little -- it's to sway people to think, 'Oh, the 8GB model is so small... but the 32GB model is only $100 more...' It's all about marketing. :)

Think of it as a small-scale investment. If your music collection is currently between 8GB and 16GB, at the rate music collections are growing, you may be above 16GB soon.

my 8 gig touch is purely a podcast repository for long trips in the car.

why? because it was free with my computer and i have an iphone.

if i didn't have an iphone, I would probably think that the 8 gig touch was an absolute godsend though. perfect for doing simple internet stuff.

I think they should scrap all 8GB models of iPod Touch and iPhone 3G. Is there anyone who is satisfied with their 8GB device and nowhere close to filling it? Even though you can only use about 6.9GB
