Well I am finally in the position to purchase a DSLR after waiting 12 Months for the funds and seeing the cost's rise I am finally going to purchase a Nikon D90 with 16-85mm Lens soon to follow it with the Nikon 70-300 VR unless any of you can recommend a better combination for the money?:D

I also recently added the 10-24 and just ordered the 10.5 fisheye. I use the 16-85 the most followed by the 10-24. The 70-300 is used the least, but is outstanding when I need the longer length. I have no regrets on any of the choices I have made. I had the D40 with the 18-55 and the 55-200. That combo worked very well, too, but I am much happier with my current set up. I think you are making a great choice. Have fun and post some pics after you get stated. You might want to consider joining nikoncafe.com if you have not already. It's a great forum for Nikon users.
