How big of difference is the 4X SuperDrive compared to the 8X SuperDrive if all I'm going to do is burn documents and photos to a CD?

Who makes the SuperDrive in the PowerMac G5 and how much is it cost to upgrade it?

Well, it’s twice as fast even for data burns. The Superdrive is standard in every G5, so it doesn’t add to the total cost. I think Apple takes about $200 for the drive though, AFAIK.
