question about dvd software....

ok, I want to use a sound sample/quote from this dvd I have, to use in our next song (my band) but I dont know how to take the sample from the dvd and then convert it to mp3 or WAV or whatever, does anyone have any advice?

Never used the program myself but I think Audio Hijack should do it. It supposedly takes all audio your computer is playing and writes it to a file. So just cue up to where you want to capture, start Audio Hijack, play that part of the DVD (on your Mac of course) and there you go.

i use wiretap (http://www.ambrosiasw.com/utilities/freebies/) for stuff like that. freeware, and it works perfectly. itunes will convert the output to whatever file format you want. good luck.
