New cd/rw-fire wire

Optical drive died in my Imac 600 slotloader replaced with Lacie firewire ,what or how is there the best way to access a install or boot disc when restarting,bypassing the original drive?

You have a few options during startup:

1) Command + Option + Shift + Delete

2) C

3) Option
