I've installed Windows 7 via bootcamp on my MackBook Pro, and everything is running fine, the only problem is I cannot figure out how to turn off the backlit keyboard. Does anyone know if there is a way to turn off the backlit keyboard in Windows? Thanks in advance.

You can switch off bootcamp.exe in the taskmanager. After that you put you mac to sleep, and then awake it again. That should turn off your lights. You have to do it all over again however if you restart or shutdown your mac ;)
Also you should know that certain bootcamp functions dont work anymore for obvious reasons ;)

You mean like even if you try to turn it all the way down to "off" it still stays on? It's a bug that's been around since Boot Camp came into existence. It's a shame it STILL hasn't been fixed. :(

You can use the application 'Power Plan Assistant for Windows 7' to turn off keyboard backlight without killing Bootcamp.exe process and to turn off/on Boot Camp's native automatic adjustment features (btw the second thing this is even more important than disabling backlight entirely, at least for me it is).

Click the link in the post I quoted. That's a link to another thread, where a solution is given. It's this utility (http://www.powerplan7.com/). I haven't installed it yet, but it's said to work wonderfully.

Yeah I downloaded it before I posted here, it works, but I thought it was broken for ages as when I clicked to open the program there was never a window that opened in front of me.

I only just release that it starts minimised in the notification area, even after the initial install, which I think is pretty stupid.

The reason I asked about bootcamp was because I have never seen an option relating to the backlight keyboard at all, so I have no idea how others have that option avaliable!
