My uncle just passed down a volume copy of Final Cut Studio to me.
I have an Aluminum MacBook Pro

and I get this message:

Your computer does not have the hardware required to run this software. See the Read Me for details.

I don't see what kind of hardware I could be missing??

Could it be that FCS 5 is too old for the new MacBooks?

Final Cut 5 is like almost 5 years old, no? I think it was designed for Power PC computers, so yea, I think it's too old.:(

What's the newest Final Cut?
My uncle is a professor in film school so he has volume copies

The version he gave you is probably the Power PC version so thats why it wont install.
