Hi I have the last 12" iBook model. It has generally been very reliable until about a week ago when it started either:

1) The backlight on the screen goes out and the computer is still running, but the backlight cannot be turned on.

or

2) The computer just shuts down and one cannot turn it back on unless one removes the battery and power cord.

Here is my most recent console log:

Mac OS X Version 10.4.11 (Build 8S165)
2009-09-20 13:53:16 -0500
2009-09-20 13:53:20.065 SystemUIServer[86] lang is:en
Sep 20 13:53:21 iBook configd[36]: bootp_session_transmit: bpf_write(en2) failed: Operation not permitted (1)
Sep 20 13:53:21 iBook configd[36]: DHCP en2: INIT transmit failed
Sep 20 13:53:24 iBook configd[36]: SecKeychainFindGenericPassword err= -25308 ( =0xffff9d24, secErrStr=User interaction is not allowed. ) (current= RJ)
Debugger() was called!

Also, I've already tried resetting the PMU, the nvram, and the pram.

Can someone tell me what is going on? Is the the dreaded logic board?

Thanks
