Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPod; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_1_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7C145 Safari/528.16)

Can anyone else get the apple wall charger to work with the new touch? It says that this device doesn't support charging, it worked fine on my first gen.

From what I can tell the charger you are trying to use is a firewire charger - as of the 2nd Gen iPod touch and the 4th gen Nano this ability was removed so you will need a new charger.

Get a Scosche Passport, $24.95 @ the Apple Store. It allows USB charging with Firewire charging devices. I have an older wall charger, probably just like yours, a car charger, and an Altec Lansing speaker system I use when travelling. All charge fine.

Good luck.
