Okay. I ordered my Ipod Touch a few minutes ago...and I want to compile a list of "Good, useful, fun, and must-haves" applications. If you are able to help me out, you're probably helping out other Ipod Touch "newbs". ^_^ Tyvm in advance.

Define "good". Define "useful". Define "fun". You must realize that these are all going to be very dependent on a person's perspective. You could probably get as many answers as there are apps. Maybe if you could be more specific about what kinds of apps you're looking for, we can better narrow down the choices.

Free

Tap Tap Revenge 2
Dropship
A Quest for Knights Onrush
Chain Rxn
Topple

Paid
Gangstar - $6.99
Modern Combat: Sandstorm - $6.99
Real Racing - $6.99
Pocket God - $0.99
Caster - $1.99
Harbor Master - $0.99
Flight Control - $0.99
Doodle Jump - $0.99
Alive 4-ever - $0.99
NFL 2010 - $2.99

Not many free app suggestions as I barely have any free apps lol.

But most of the paid apps are the big name ones.

Hopefully someone else has more free apps.

Well, I will list some "must have" useful apps that aren't GAMES:

1. AIM (Free/Paid)
2. Facebook (Free)
3. Chipotle (Just kidding...but really).
4. Bump (Free - share contact info by bumping your Touch with someone else's).

Just to name a few useful ones.

I know that it will be based on the person's perspective, I just want a variety of applications that will be a day-to-day use.

heres what i have on my main page and these are apps i generally use everyday

facebook
sirius xm radio
i have 2 apps for the fantasy leagues im in
sportacular (great sports app for scores, schedules, ect)
aim (actually one of the best free apps out there in my opinion
weather channel
echofan (twitter)
fandango
i.tv (great app for tv listings, use it everyday
ebay
usa today

as far as games
you HAVE to get sky burger.

(i know its $1.99, and cute little games are usually .99 max, but this game is worth EVERY penny, its all me and my friends play)

fuzzle
arcade bowling
paper toss (not the world tour...waste of money)
fling
diner dash (a little pricy but a great game, exactly like the computer)
tetris (again, a little pricy but its a perfect rendition of the game)
air hockey
ping pong
alphabetic
are you smarter than a 5th grader
done drinkin (free, and so much fun)

since youre just starting out i would honestly just take a look at the apps featured in the app store, the top 50 apps, free and paid, are really the best apps out there, but every once in a while youll find a gem like sky burger:o

The App store forum has a ton of info in it, be sure to check it out.

My daily use apps are Trip Cubby (gas cubby too it seems), pocket informant, illness tracker, the new pocket world weather app, notebooks (with the s), facebook.

But my main use is as a PDA, which isn't to say there isn't fun stuff on there too.....
