limewire safe to use, or to much spyware?

I want to download limewire but I need to know if it will screwup my computer with spyware and stuff. If it will do that I won't use it. Any help would be great!!

Never had a problem, but I use Acqlite, which I believe is like Acquisition but without a small part of it (plus its free unlike Acquisition). Poisoned is my other choice. Sorry, never tried Limewire, but I'm fairly sure its fine.

Or you could avoid spyware alltogether and pay the piper (as it were) on iTunes.
