Aperture 2 and GPU

Does the GPU matter? I have a MBP with 9400M and 9600GT. Will the 9600GT provide any speed boost to anything?

Sorry, probably stupid question but I haven't used it yet and as a matter of fact just ordered my first camera so I can't try it myself yet. Just figured I'd ask here out of curiosity :)

I think aperture is GPU accelerated but if you don't want to use the 9600m gt then more RAM will help cause the 9400m shares RAM with system so more RAM will help.
