I am looking for a high end nice/cool looking designer type of case for my MBA. The only 2 I have seemed to find to fit the bill are these 2, but I am not sure which to choose and would love some input. I really would like a more form fitting case/sleeve, but can't really tell from the pictures which is thinner?

The way their website is set up its kind of a pain. but under Bags>macbook air the red one or the brown one after it, if you click the customize button you can make it seriously ANY COLOR WAY YOU WANT its amazing compared to:

Do you guys know of any others?

No, I don't like leather cases. I much prefer "high-tech" material, whether available. What about carbon shell?
There are many other leather-like, sleeve, however. For instance, http://www.beyzacases.com/cat-apple-macbook-air-sleeves-thinvelope-leather-cases.cfm
In any case, I do prefer a harshell like this: https://www.goincase.com/products/detail/hardshell-case-cl57143

$189 - $200 for a sleeve that holds nothing but the Air itself? Rip off.
$60 and I've gotten more compliments on it. It's casual enough to just use daily and dressy enough to use if I have something important to do, like go to court to get child support from my baby daddies.

I am very glad that I wasn't drinking coffee at the time I first read that, or I'd be opening a thread about removing coffee from (fortunately, I don't take it with sugar or cream) a MacBook Air :D

Yes, roughly 200 USD for a sleeve is a theft. Period.

I got this one:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001QRAHVS/ref=ox_ya_oh_product
It was about $22 with shipping. Looks like leather, and looks like a thin portfolio for paperwork, even with the MBA in it. I get lots of compliments.

I have one of these from LowePro, the camera bag company:
http://products.lowepro.com/product/Slim-Factor-S,2033,23.htm
Very thin and light (like the Air), but well padded, nice looking, and fits the Air perfectly. Mine is the Expresso/Latte color, and I only paid about $20 off eBay.

You want theft? The iPhone case from Vaja that I absolutely love is $280!!! It has Swarovski crystals you know... I just love it for the style of it, don't care about the crystals. :(

Vaja is amazing. Sena is 2nd rate. I've been pitched by both companies and held their cases in each hand and it's worth it to pay more for vaja.
Sena tells me there's no difference by price but I don't care. Vaja is just so much cooler.

Holy crap @ Vaja they had a 13in case that cost pretty much the same amount as MBP its protecting. They even got a 10in netbook case costing almost twice as much as the price of the netbook. Now that is theft in my book. I don't care how good the quality is, those prices are not worth it. The one your looking at isn't price a bit more fair, but still more than I would spend on one.
This another fairly price one from Vaja. http://www.vajacases.com/home/home_en.html?Prod=notebook-sony-10and13&ini=nva391c&c=5&it=2&s=3

BS! Sena makes great cases. Yes, the Vajas are nice, but not much nicer than Sena and they cost way more. Go ahead and be a sucker!

does the latest macbook air, have the "long-lasting" battery (yet)?
imo, a sleeve is nice and all but where do you put the power brick?
carry it in another bag?

I have a MBP with the "long-lasting battery" and I still bring the power brick. I just put the sleeve in another bag. Needless to say my computer is in excellent condition.

I have a Mac Book Air and looked at the cases you mentioned. Recommend looking at the Marware Leather Case it's $90.00 and equals both mentioned in my opinion. Have it and like it a lot and a lot lower in cost. A lot!!!!!!!!!! It's called C.E.O. ENVI.
Also wraped the Air in 3M Clear cover and it still fits in the Case.

I agree, but remember, many women buy handbags that are worth far more than anything they put inside. Walk downtown in London or any city, and you'll see women with £5000+ handbags. Crazy but there you go.
With men, it's more spending on flashy cars and gadgets.

Vaja would be my vote. I have a Vaja case for my iPhone and its top quality. I have the Beyza case that a previous poster mentioned and its a VERY nice case.

Hey I'm newmto the mac world, and I DEFINETLY love my 13 macbook! I want a cover/case for it though...I was looking at specks. Are they the best quality cases for macs? I heard that it is best if the case has feet or height so that heat can escape/circulate at the bottom. Please enrich me with all of your mac cover knowledge and tips, thanks guys!:o

I went with the 13-2 waterfield sleeve for the MBA. Along with the Timbuk2 classic labtop messenger bag. That way the waterfield sleeve fits in the labtop sleeve in the messenger bag and I have an option of using another bag with just the waterfield sleeve for the air.

While not an Air, I have the matte black Speck on my unibody MBP, which I dropped onto concrete landing on the hinge corner of the lid, and it protected it from any damage.

so, being the indecisive person i am i have yet to make a decision. But I bought a new messenger back which is really nice from a company called Reiss, which is helping me choose what type of case to buy or reinforcing my previous ideas. I want a sleeve which is as thin as possible... I came across a few addition companies which look pretty interesting to say the least
http://www.civilianlab.com/ - not a huge fan of this one but its out there incase anyone is interested
http://www.shuky.com/ - another manilla envelope style
http://shop.hardgraft.com/category/sleeves - now this one really caught my eye from left field... i cant really tell if i'll like it or not but looks snazzzzy and different
When I get a chance i'm gonna combine all the links and pictures and post um in One post

That is the combo I am using. Waterfield 13-2 and Timbuk2 labtop messenger bag.
The 13-2 fits perfectly into the sleeve in the timbuk2 and gives you the portability of using the 13-2 in another bag or using the timbuk2 for a macbook too.
