Ok, yes I've searched but I'm a little unclear. I have a Macbook Pro the most current version (matte screen!🙂 ). I need to be able to get RCA/composite video out for presentations but would like to also have DVI capability. Can I go mini-display port to DVI using this adaptor ( http://store.apple.com/us/product/MB570Z/A?fnode=MTY1NDA5OQ&mco=Nzk2MDk5OQ ) and then go DVI to RCA using this adaptor ( http://store.apple.com/us/product/M9267G/A?fnode=MTY1NDA5OQ&mco=Nzk2MDk4OQ )?

My question is because I know there are different kinds of DVI and my understanding is that the current MBP uses DVI-D which I wasn't sure would work in this kind of setup. This was so much easier when Apple just made the correct adaptor...

Anybody ordered from monoprice.com? I've seen it mentioned in a few posts and their prices are much lower than Apple's...

It won't work. The mini DP to DVI adapter only puts out DVI-D, and the RCA adapter requires an analog signal, which is not included in DVI-D.

I have ordered lots of stuff from Monoprice. Not any Apple cables, but everything I have bought there has been good quality.

Your best bet to get RCA might be to get the VGA adapter and get a converter box like this:
http://www.monoprice.com/products/p...=10114&cs_id=1011407&p_id=4724&seq=1&format=2
It even has a USB power cable so you can use it on the go.

Thanks, I was wondering if I'd have to go VGA. I'll just go mini display port to VGA and VGA to RCA/S Video.

You will need the converter box to go from VGA to RCA. The cheaper adapter only works with video cards (like ATI) with TV out. I don't think the MDP-VGA adapter has TV out.
