Whoops. Should be in the web section.
Yeah makes me laugh too.. Though I think the page designer missed a few things out, how about a simple php-script to divert Mac users to the relevant Mac page cause windows exploreres just don't look right on a Mac.

Perhaps the forums admins should create a custom button for vB? Would really be useful, me thinks and it's not that difficult.

Imagine if malware writers did take the time to make Mac versions. How many Mac users would install the "security software"? 5% marketshare Macs haz it.

Not with you. Macs are vulnerable to the malware packages - that is worms and trojans - like sites like this host. It's just no-one really cares.

Why don't you write us a Trojan, and we'll all test it out for ya?

"Gwerdna concluded that OS X contains "easy pickings" when it comes to vulnerabilities that could allow hackers to break into Apple's operating system.
"Mac OS X is easy pickings for bug finders. That said, it doesn't have the market share to really interest most serious bug finders," added gwerdna."
"The only thing which has kept Mac OS X relatively safe up until now is the fact that the market share is significantly lower than that of Microsoft Windows or the more common UNIX platforms.... If this situation was to change, in my opinion, things could be a lot worse on Mac OS X than they currently are on other operating systems," said Archibald at the time.

Sorry? We know for a fact that there are trojans out there that affect Macs and, indeed, have done so. It's been done already.

The fact is no-one cares enough to make trojan writing a mass market exercise for Macs in the same way they do for Windows.

http://www.zdnet.com.au/news/security/soa/Mac-OS-X-hacked-under-30-minutes/0,130061744,139241748,00.htmReally? The alleged hacker opens up SSH, and then gives a local account for them to gain access through. Gaining access happens to be the unsurmountable part. Yet, with all the assistance, it still took him over 30 minutes!

Can we be quite clear here: Are you claiming that no Mac running OS X has ever been compromised by a trojan?
A simple yes or no will suffice.

No thanks!
The trojan we're referring to is OSX.Trojan.iServices.A. It's a DDOS variant so I don't think you would notice it doing anything because it's not attacking your computer.
The point is that it exists and was acknowledged as such by the Mac community.

I just had to help a friend who was suckered into installing a client from one of these sites. Ruined his entire computer. I was trying to backup his files when the computer froze. After turning it back on, all of his files were gone. Not sure whether to blame the trojan, windows, or myself. Either way i feel terrible for him.

@ the OP: The most entertaining thing about those is the wonderfully obvious names of the "trojans" and "malware" that have supposedly been "found" on your computer.
