USB Power Warning

I turned on my printer (which is connected to a powered 4-port Belkin USB hub) and as the printer was warning up when the message below appeared. The printer was the only thing drawing power off the hub at the time. The other USB port on the comptuer was connected to my Apple keyboard and wireless mouse. This is the set up I have always used the message was a surprise. Nevertheless, I restarted and now none of the attached USB devices work even when tried one at a time. The built in keyboard is also acting strange.

Just wondering what trouble shooting steps I should take. Thanks.

Is the hub powered up properly? i have one that every now and then need cycle to get it working right.

Good thought. I cycled it twice and even changed outlets but to no avail.
