iPod touch can apple tell if you have jailbroken your ipod touch or iphone?

if i send and ipod touch or iphone to apple that i previously had jailbroken would they be able to see that?

Oops misread it. As long as its restored it should be hidden. But sometimesit shows. Once I put tmobile as my carrier logo. Restored it and it was still there.
 
Just put the phone into DFU mode, and then do a restore, and set it up as a new phone and there is no way they can tell. I've done it. 🙂

ok thanks...if i send it to them and they cant fix it under the warranty do i have to pay anything?...if i have them send it back to me?
