I've had my Mac less than a week but I've learned soooooo much by browsing the boards, searching, and reading up. Stuff that, honestly, I wish there was just some big list of. So I figured I'd make my own. :)

Don:

try not to have too much in your menu bar. it slows down your system. on my dt all I have there is the clock and on my laptop all I have is the battery meter and the clock. think of the osx menu bar like the bottom bar in windows. the more you have running in the bottom right the slower your system runs. minimal system = fast and more stable
