Dang. Under 200$? This is a great way to get my girlfriend further into videogames. :) She likes more casual stuff like this, and at 199 I dont think I can/ should pass it up. Thanks for the heads -up!

Saying "under $200" when it's $199.99 is silly. While true, it's just silly. If it were $200 would you still even consider it?

200$ would break the bank my dear. Im not rich. Now 199 I can handle. ;)
Its a psycological thing. When I see 199.99$ it looks nicer than 200. It also puts the wii in a new area the PS3 and 360 cant touch.

Still not interested. While I would like to play Mario Galaxy it will have to take an amazingly epic Zelda for me to think about buying a Wii. $200 still seems too expensive.

But but but... I can buy 2 Gamecubes for 50 bucks, a roll of duct tape for 1.50, and a TV remote for 5! :D

And rumour has it us Yurpeens aren't getting a price cut, but they're including Wii Sports Resort and a Motion Plus in the box.
Good idea doing all this before that New Mario Wii launch. Can't wait for that :D.

Still too much...It should be $149 by now. Before I got the Prime Trilogy, my Wii was sitting collecting dust for the past year. And once I finish the Prime Trilogy, looks like it'll sit another couple of months before grabbing the new Super Mario Bros.
Wii is just a glorified Gamecube with motion controls.

couldnt agree with you more if this had a actaull dvd player i could see it posibly being 200 but the fact you cant even play DVDS is lame

Everyone that wanted a Wii already have one(which is the entire world) so I don't know if this price drop will shoot the wii further than it is now...the Wii was cheap as it was before the drop.

Not quite everyone - I still don't have one. However after reading how jagged the graphics look on an hdtv (I just got one, my first) I may no longer want a wii after all.

It's not that bad on my 46" Bravia, even our 40" Samsung has a pretty savvy upscaler. But really in motion I don't care. You have to be sat right up against the TV to actually see the pixels (the same distance to see the low quality MPEG of prerendered 360 vids, looking at chew GeOW 2).

Yeah I have a 32" Samsung HDTV and I'm not sure if it's the TV or the Wii, but the up-scaling is fine over component. It doesn't distract from the game or anything.
Plus the Wii supports 16:9 and 480p, so that helps.
