My newly purchased MS Office:mac 2008 Home & Student Edition disk refuses to load in my Power Mac G4/733 Quicksilver (1.5 Gigs Ram) OS X 10.4.11 with adequate Hard Drive space. Disk is ejected after about 45 seconds. Other disks load as they should. I need the word processor & spread sheet.

Call Microsoft, that's what you are paying for with a license.

Other than that I would make sure your optical drive isn't as old as your Powermac. They do age. Get a new one for like forty bucks with warranty pretty much anywhere.
