2nd gen iPod Touch problem

Hey guys, I was wondering if I should buy this 2nd gen ipod touch. He is selling it for really cheap, but the ipod does not turn on. The screen just stays black. He said when he hooks it up to itunes it does not detect his ipod. Is there a proven solution to this. I want to know if i should buy this, thanks. I searched a lot and found some good info, but i want to know if there is a 100% sure way to fix this, thanks.

No, I am asking is there a way to fix this black screen problem for sure? Cause i am getting a cheap price on the ipod touch just don't know if there is a fix on this problem.
