iPod touch iPod Touch mic?

Hi, ok if I go out and buy one of the 8GB iPod Touches from the Apple store for £150 does it have an inbuilt mic? im looking to record lectures, if not what is the next best thing? some guy has one of the olympus digital voice recorders and they dont sound very clear on playback.

Look on the website:

And read:
"you can record any audio you want using the Apple Earphones with Remote and Mic or an external mic"

I don't believe the 8GB model comes with the headphones with the inline mic. You would need an external mic.

Can't you just buy Apple's headphone mic at their store/online?
