hi when u said u were looking at new games was one of them medieval total war2 :eek::eek::eek: also, i dont know why but the voices on when you click on a unit dont happen its just silent, but this is just not with the mod, before when i played on vanilla it started doing that after you released the last update:confused::confused: any ideas on how to fix

You can downgrade to the earlier version of the game 1.0.x but I think the issue is a problem with 1.1.x versions on some peoples machines. We will look into it for a future patch.

Just drag the Rome and BI applications from your DVD and put them in the game folder replacing the newer versions.

hi to cut the story short from the start i am very greatful from all of your advice and work on all of this. i followed your advice and i want to upgrade to the new version basicly cant figure out how any suggestions:confused:

If you email support they will be able to give more step by step directions to help you out. The upgrade system is usually automatic if you are online unless you told the game to ignore the update.

Our support team should be able to give you a few suggestions.

Yeah i did kind of tell the game to ignore the update woops :o:o:o:o:o is their any way of forcing it to check for updates

hi everything works fine now on d game HORRAY:o:o but unfortunately the disk has been damaged.:( Is there anyway of running the game without the disk so i dont need to by a new disk :confused:

Sorry no but we do have a discounted disk replacement service if you email our support email. If you email the address you should get the details on the disk replacement service from Gerard within 24 hours max.

The email address is built into the support tab of the game (before you hit Play). It is also in the back of the manual. I don't want to post it here to try and keep the spam down.

If you use the link in the game it will also automatically create a email subject line which will save you a few seconds :)

hi life has been real busy havent got around to getting the disk replaced, just wondering is the game gonna get released on the mac app store:):):)

Yes it will be released on the AppStore hopefully very soon. You cannot upgrade to the AppStore version from retail DVD you will need to buy the game again in the store.

You are welcome to have a go at adding one :) if you get it working then we can update the script. The mod scripts are fairly well documented so you can always download a PC Rome mod and give it a go. The initial work done on the Mac mods was by me in my spare time and recently I have not had any!

I always welcome volunteers who have managed to improve the Mac mods or add support for more.

I have been working on my own mod for mac just wondering if anyone is interested in beta testing it.

it reworks the factions Roma, Seleucid Empire, Carthage, Egypt, Macedon, Greek cities, Pontus and adds bits to all the other factions. Complete new units for the mentioned factions, with included strat map units as well. Made Egypt in to a real greek power. no longer with prehistoric chariots but a correct historic perspectiv

The mod is only at its start and will soon inlcude many more features. Including now just starting to touch the geography and graphic side of things and will also inlude some new animations. Any help will be much appreciated in producing the mod if u understand mechanics of rtw. So if anyone is in downloading it just put a comment and i will give u the address;););)

I think this is a problem with your machine/network. Email support along with a step by step guide of what you do when trying to play. Also attach a support report so we can check your installation and Rome error logs.

1.) No, but you can cheat to grab some extra cash
2.) I think it is fairly arbitrary you can't always have this option it depends on your situation, what your faction is and what faction you are trying to ally with.
3.) Yes but it is not a supported option (although we have used it in the office without problems). Look in the Rome preferences plist file (Read the FAQ on the DVD if you don't know where this is) and find the fullscreen=1 and change it to fullscreen=0 you now have windowed mode.
3.5) Not heard anything about performance issues if you email support with your thoughts and a support report so we know your machines spec we can look into it.

That is not your preferences "plist" file. That looks like the preferences "txt" file. Check your "Preferences Data.plist" file found in ~/Library/Preferences/Feral Interactive/Rome Total War folder. Please note that windowed mode is not supported but should work fine.

Holy necro batman! This thread hadn't seen a post in over two years and was older than that, questioning when the game would come out. lol

I made a new post proclaiming the goodness of the new update and thanking Feral publicly for it. I even saw this thread just before doing so but didn't bother to open it. I figured somebody must have meant Rome Total War 2: Will It Ever Come Out? and they forgot the 2. :D

Well, here I am after you about this Edwin but I am also guilty of making an assumption and you know what they say about those...

As we support out titles for the long term and have released many many patches over the years to fix issues and to add new features I don't think it's a secret that we have more patches coming over time. :)

What games and when now that's (mostly) a secret.
