I'm trying to burn some avi files to a dvd in Toast 10. They are all about 366 MB each and when I drag one into Toast it says it's gonna take over half of the space on the dvd! So i dragged another one into Toast but it says it will allow both to fit. It even fits three and four, etc. How is this possible? Is it just degrading the quality of each one? How many 366 MB avi files can i safely fit on a 4.7 GB dvd? Thanks!

The size of the avi files has nothing to do with the duration of these clips. The codec of the files is probably different from the one that is going to be on a DVD.
A one layer DVD holds about 2 hours of video.
