iPod touch Switching tabs in safari causes page to reload sometimes

Anyone else has seen this problem in safari? Sometimes when safari is loading a page, and I switch to another tab, then switch back to that tab, it will cause it to reload again. It's pretty frustrating because it defeats the entire point of tabs.
 
New pages. Whatever you wanna call them. The point is that multiple pages are useless when you can only load one at the time
