That's a reason why the current Baucus bill isn't very good. It doesn't mean public healthcare in general is bad...

Public healthcare is not bad but the problem is who is writing it and who will get the ultimate favors from any legislation. The good of the party always comes before the good of the people that ultimately carry the financial burden.

Oh and another thing, public healthcare should be for everyone. No elite few getting elite care BS. If you work for the govt. in any capacity, that is the plan you get. At least that way any deficiencies my family has to encounter get encountered by smarter than thou elected officials in hopes of rectification down the road.

The right - if it's something they support, it's a legitimate tax. If it's not, suddenly, it becomes theft.

well, that's only because you've made bad choices in your life and have ended up as a perpetual student instead of making that 250K a year.......:p
