iCal on iPod HOW?

i have the ORIGENAL out of date ipod and want to know how i can update to the new ipod softwear i saw jobs show off at MWNY, like how you can find the game, and use ical and have smart playlists! is it not avalable yet or is my ipod so out of date it cant handle the new stuff? there is no due date on apple.com/ipod or any links to update the ipod! when is this comming out! i must know!:confused:

The new iPod software will be available when Jaguar is released in late August, then you will be able to sync with iCal;)
