My 250GB hdd in my MacBook Pro is getting a bit tiny, so I bought a a 1TB Western Digital drive for external storage (HD TV Shows and Movies take a fair bit up ).
So, do I drop the files directly in from Finder, or is there a way to perfectly integrate it with iTunes? Like, be able to store Season 1, 2 and 4 of House, Season 2 and 3 of Dexter, Season 5 of The Office, etc.
Is there a way to do this? Or do I just go into Finder and drag and drop? If the latter, does it keep the meta date (album, year, genre, description, etc.)
Lastly, with my AppleTV, I have ATV Flash as well, which allows external storage viewing. Could I just plug the external hard drive into the AppleTV and it would be just as if I streamed it over WiFI? (Somehow keeping it ordered by seasons?)
I'm really lost here, guys.
