I have an ibook g4, a ppc. At least once a day, my computer will randomly go to a gray screen (see attached pic, note the vertical lines). The only thing that will make it go away is to kinda shake/jiggle the laptop so I think something must be loose.
Another issue, and I don't know if it's related is that two ac adaptors now have gone bad in it in a 2 month period. I'm guessing it can't be the quality of the plug since it's been 2 now. The laptop just doesn't seem to recognize it for some reason. Any thoughts?
I DO plan on replacing it next year, so no need to suggest that
I'm just curious if this is an issue that has come up before. If it's something cheap to replace, I'll do it on my own. Otherwise, I'll just tough it out til next year. Thanks
ETA: I thought of something else. I have had to reset the PMU a couple times in the last few months too.
