If you had an unlimited budget, what would your ideal setup be? If yours isn't on this list, tell us what it is and why.

The Ultimate Computer Set Up ...

What's your ultimate computer set up?

If you where to walk into an Apple Store with a 'big' budget what computers would you buy and how would you set them up?

Here's what I've worked towards >

Mac Pro with 24" ACD
For back up, downloads, server, storage, light video and photo editing, runs my security cameras too.

15" MBP with ACD
My main work machine for everything, is hooked up to the ACD most of the time, I disconnect when I need power or a larger screen on the go.

MBA
It's a great grab and go computer for replying to a few emails, surfing and light work. It's a fun machine to use for sure.

For what I do I could minimalize this set up. Replacing the Mac Pro with a Mac Mini and the 15" MBP and the MBA I could replace with a 13" MBP. Going from 3 computers to two. But I like toys so this set up stays 🙂

Probably a 27" iMac and a 15" MBP. Maybe a MBA when I'm in school

Great choice. I also thought of a new 27" iMac with my 15" MBP and MBA, and sell the Mac Pro.

It's a little overkill for what I do, the two ACD monitors side by side are nice though... I have a large budget for buying computers for my company so price isn't really an issue, organization and ease of use is 🙂

I'll take my $70,000 Mac Pro...

Oddly, that's not my dream, that's just $70,000.

guess

everyone will say a macpro and a laptop

probably, maybe a Mac Pro and a 15" MBP or MBA go well together

lot's seem to have a desktop and the 13" MBP as well, depends if you want screen size, light weight or a combo of the two on the road I suppose.

A tricked out Mac Pro with dual 24" ACD LEDs, a tricked out 13" MBP, and a tricked out Mini connected to a lot of external storage for HTPC/media storage purposes.
