It is spec'd for SIS and VIA chipsets, although I've used it in a G4 1.25 tower and worked fine. I have yet to try it in a G5 class machine, but I'd assume it's be fine. It's CAS is 2.5, and is a "128x4"-type chip

The memory is built by Mitsubishi I believe (odd, I know), and was ordered from a corporate provider extra (an IBM authorized one actually) in a large business purchase.

Do you know if it will work in a new 12" G4 1Ghz iBook??
And will you ship to UK?

Comment removed after I was smart enough to read the entire post.

Just curious why it wouldn't work...G3's were incompatible with anything over 512mb, but the G4's weren't. And the original post said PC2700 I believe and ram always clocks down if it has to(as far as I know) Anyways, I know this will fit a powerbook...if nobody is willing to buy this by next week, I'll step up and buy it for my new powerbook...

Cause laptops use a different form factor for memory (SODIMMS?), and desktops use DIMMS. It physically wouldn't fit.

Didn't even get to read the last reply and realized he said he used it in a desktop.....totally different form factor. Still sounds like a good price to me.
