Idea for 10 billionth app download

You know what would be a cool gift from apple once we get to the 10 millionth download? You would be granted one app to download for free. Could be any app whether 10$ or 0.99. But you get one free paid app per iPhone/iPod touch.

I'm pretty sure, to stay on subject, that the billionth app downloader was give a crap load more than 10$, and in that pack was a macbook pro and an iTunes gift card for a lot of money... Someone will post the actual amount. But thats a crap load more than one free app.

i think he meant every iphone user could pick one app and receive it for free, up to like $10

I like the idea of giving the person who actually downloads it a crazy gift, seems like more of an incentive for people to try to buy, buy, buy!

Also, this thread would be more suitable in the App Store Forum (http://forums.macrumors.com/forumdisplay.php?f=133). I'll see about getting it moved.
