Hi everybody,
maybe its a stupid question, but why is there a UK, German music store. They have a somewhat different selection of titles. But can't I simply buy music from anywhere? I'm asking because the UK store seems to have more indie labels in the future.
Thanx, Andi

It has to do with licensing... a CD distributed in Germany uses a different distributor than the UK. They have to get permission from both. Or at least that's my understanding.

This is true... It's a pain right now, tho i predict as iTunes increases it's marketing capabilities, cross-marketing between national stores will be a selling factor to get particular countries distributors to sign agreements. I think it's just a minor glitch in getting a more comprehensive, international style store, which is unfortunately impossible with today's setup.
