Can I upgrade to 3.1 and hack the iPhone so I have tethering?

Or is that not possible yet? Also, I'd like to be able to make it so I can use Skype anywhere, not just under a wifi zone.

I use a Mac.

for skype use 3g unrestrictor on cydia...

for tethering you can use PDANet or MyWi (both are paid apps)

The phone must be Jailbroken to do this.

3G can be JB now on 3.1
3GS the JB tools are not released yet
