Strange flash messages

Hi,

From today, i get messages my friends type in skype displayed in desktop (the messages flash in desktop and disappear). It is kind of annoying.

What is causing this? Any help??

Go into System Preferences
HDD/Applications/System Preferences.app


Look at the bottom, is there something called "Growl" in there?. It may be set to give you notifications on stuff people type in Skype.

I have disable it to use with skype...
