Last year I remember buying 2x2 gb DDR2667 for the macbook for $44.95 + shipping.

Now I see crucial has that for nearly twice as much.

Am I missing something? Did DDR2 go up in price crazily, or am I looking in the wrong places?

They are definitely higher at a lot of places. I went to OWC thinking about ordering 4GB this morning and the in-house RAM they used to have listed for about $45 is up to $79.

I guess you just have to dig around a bit more to get a decent price now. I'm surprised the prices have gone up that much all of a sudden. Does anyone know why?
