Will the old Mac adapters work on MBA?

Hey,

My MBA has troubles once again and my retailer won't repair the adapter without having a look at my MBA aswell (at least 7 days at the workshop).

However I have an old macbook adapter avaliable so it would be nice to know whether it works with my MBA, since all the new mac adapters do work?

Are we certain the OP is talking power adapter? I wasn't certain when reading although makes most sense. Maybe I missed it.
