If/when get my phone jailbroke, will I still be able to use my iTunes and sync apps I've already got? Basicly can you still run apple signed code along side the unsigned?

Yes, you can get apps from App Store or Cydia

Sweet I plan I borrowing my friends mac so do
it as I am running 3.1 on a 3g. Any tip to make sure it goes
smooth? Once I have it jailboke on his mac I assume I can
just restore from the backup on my pc and get my contacts music ect. Back?

If you don't know how to use Pwnage Tool, get a tutorial off the Internet (iClarified)
