Okay I just got a used Ipod touch from a used movies/game place... looks and works great.. but my question is how can I tell what generation it is? Its on 3.0 software but I saw they have a refurb 1st gen at the apple store for cheaper then I got mine. If the one I got is a first generation then Im returning this one and buying from apple.

There are other differences, like the first gen is thicker, and it doesn't have a speaker, but you were asking for a quick way to tell whether the ipod you had was first gen, so I gave you the most obvious difference.
