Missing carrier logo after jailbreak 3.1 on 3GS?

Just did the jailbreak on a 3GS so I can go to 3.1 firmware... And the first thing I noticed is that my carrier logo is now missing!

Any idea what I did wrong and how I can go about fixing this (to show AT&T again?)

It's a known issue. It is like that for everybody. Sorry.

Like jmann said, it's a known issue. You can download FakeCarrier from Cydia and set it to say AT&T... that's what I did for a temporary solution.

This is true but the text will look a little messed up.

I think if you use Make it Mine the font is the same as the ATT font.

I KNEW something was missing but just couldn't figure out what it was! 😀 Fake carrier Font is perfect.

Is this a jailbreak issue or a 3.1 issue?

how do you get that font into FakeCarrier?

I've tried both MakeItMine and FakeCarrier and they both look a little off to me. The letter spacing on the official AT&T logo is closer together and the typeface may be smaller, I think. Plus you've got that ugly FakeCarrier app taking up space on your home screen.

Some comparison screenshots. Sorry, I don't have Photoshop and ImageReady installed on this computer so I can't do those animations TheSpaz is famous for, but they are helpful.

Original AT&T:

FakeCarrier AT&T (MakeItMine looks identical to this):

FakeCarrier AT&T but lowercase, which I personally think looks better:

Correct AT&T logo

I just discovered that if you enter "ATT" as the logo in either FakeCarrier or MakeItMine, it is replaced with "AT&T" on the iPhone's status bar, and looks much more like the real thing.
