4-8gb ram upgrade

Has anyone added another 4 or 8 GB of ram to their current model iMac? I've thought about it, but at $320 / 4gb module it would have to make a big difference to be worth it.

Anyone have any opinions? I run a lot of programs at the same time and do a lot of video conversion. I'm sure i'd see a benefit, it's just how much benefit I wonder about.

Check your RAM usage from Activity Monitor or iStat. If it's over 80%, you need more. Usually when you have to ask do you need more, you don't. BTW, what apps are you running?
